
Located in London Ontario , the Black Pig BBQ team is led by Mike Callaghan, known as the Big Dog. Mike has had great success at both his Chili recipes and BBQ competitions across Canada and the United States. As the 2009, 2010 and 2011 Undefeated National Canadian Chili Champion, Mike led the team at the Jack Daniels World Championship to a 3rd place in Ribs and then at Memphis in May World Championship with a 1st place Beef. Back to the Jack in 2011 the Team took a 1st place in Cooks Choice with a Perfect 180.
Cooking and barbequing is not all fun and games, there is the logistics side of the team where we could not function without, Barb van Rassel - Team Manager
Barb keeps everything clean and organized and in reach of everybody in the times of what we refer to as "controlled chaos". Unfortunately she has the culinary skills of burning water and hot smoking cheese.
Two of our newest members are Darin Evans and his girlfriend Courtney Searson. Youth and enthusiasm is not wasted on these two up and comers
Shawn and Lana Danko are our "Transplanted Canadians" from the Kookie Canuck in Memphis Tennessee, you will see them is all of our deep south competitions
Stephen and Amelia Perrin, Stephen is the executive chef at Terra and has a long history of 5 star cooking. Talent is not lacking on this good old boy.
Mike and Julie Sharpe are two of our local London crew and have been working hard at keeping the team on track, Julie is our Time Marshal while Mike is learning the ropes on the short meats.
Other supporting member of the team throughout the year has been Ron Janus and Tanya Lavoratore, these two like the night shift.
Team members Bob and Joanne Wilkinson as well as Sue Murray, who spent the first two years of the Black Pig team slugging around North America getting the team were we are now. Sue has decided to take some time off to energize and focus on work and family.

The kids have started their own team, Well Hung Meat and a Rack and took 1st place ribs, chicken and steak at the World Junior’s Championship in Lake Placid 2010
